Today I woke up at 7am, with the intention of going out to the Saturday flea market near Uppsala Concert Hall to find a cheap bike. Ended up leaving the room around 11am. HA. So much for finding a bike…but I did pick up a few other things. The flea market had everything from clothes to shoes to game boy colors to tools and ice skates and rollerblades. I was tempted to buy a lot of stuff (like a gameboy color + pokemon), but constantly repeated in my head over and over: not necessary, not necessary. Learning to budget in life. I actually save receipts and write down my daily spendings (wow!), am I all grown up or what?? ?
Speaking of spending: there was a fruit/vegetable section & I bought a zucchini, a bag of walnuts, a bag of pecans & 4 nectarines. I thought it would be really cheap, seeing that this was a flea market and all, but it came out to be 90 Kronas!! That’s about **$14. Is that reasonable? I don’t know. Those better be some bomb walnuts and pecans. I’m excited to eat the zucchini. I’m just going to fry it or something because I don’t know how else to eat it.
Speaking of spending part II: I also bought textbooks today. $$$$$ as usual. Textbooks = school is starting = goodbye summer. But, I only have classes 2-3 times a week & I’m only taking 2 classes right now, so, I feel like it will feel like an extended summer of sorts. Hopefully, I will be proactive and use my time wisely. Except for tomorrow. I declare tomorrow to be a lazy day, because this week has been tiring. Except, tomorrow I do need to go figure out where my building for my department is so that I don’t get lost going to register on Monday.
I went to church today. More on that later…
Cheers.
Goodnight.
