Combating my perpetual hunger.
It is far too expensive to eat out frequently in Sweden. In fact, since I’ve been here, I’ve eaten at a legitimate restaurant maybe 3-4 times (none of which was authentic “Swedish” food..aka meatball, potatoes and lingonberries(?) Yum.).
+ McDonalds once and Burger King once (awesome jalapeno poppers).

So, the satisfying of my hunger has been accomplished through various potlucks, working (because you always get free food when you work in the kitchens), kindness of others or cooking for myself.

Before I came here, I was good at able to making ramen and anything that involved microwaving, like EzMac, or minimal stove-top use, like scrambled eggs.
So, needless to say, I’ve been getting a lot of good practice in the kitchen.
It is a love-hate relationship, sometimes I enjoy cooking other times I just settle for yogurt and cereal because I’m too lazy and sick of cooking. In any case, my stomach has been well-fed and I am on my way to culinary greatness mahahaha. Slowly but surely.

I even bought a chunk of ginger root the other day. I don’t really know how to use it yet, but such is life. I’m going to make egg drop soup with dduk and put some ginger in it for health purposes.

I am currently skipping my Swedish class to study for my exam on Friday.
